Actor, Director and Producer
Abid Ali was born on March 17, 1952 at Quetta, Baluchistan. He is a famous Pakistani TV actor, director and producer who have taken part in many television productions. He also established himself as a fine director with popular drama serial Saheli in 2007 and Massi aur Malka in 2009 on Geo TV. While at school, Abid Ali was persuaded towards writing and painting and never regarded acting. During the era 1968 and 1969, at college in Quetta, he was marked by Ata Shad from Radio Pakistan who advised him that he had a high-quality voice. Then he went for an audition, and started to work on radio while ongoing to study at college. In 1973, he shifted to Lahore and decided to chance his fortune at PTV, and after taking part in numerous auditions, he started to get work on television. He was married to Humaira Aali other than the couples are now separated. They both had three daughters named Iman Ali (actress, model), Maryam Ali and Raimah Ali. Abid Ali again married to famous TV actress Rabia Noureen in 2006. His popular TV serials include Jhok Siyaal, Waris, Mehndi, Saheli, Jahaiz, Doosra Asmaan and many more. He also appeared in Pakisatni films including Mr. Bhatti On Chutti, Moosa Khan, Sahiba, Nageena, Awaaz, Gharibon Ka Badshah and many more.
Biography
While at school, Ali was inclined towards writing and painting and never considered acting, but knew that he wanted to do something creative. Between 1968 and 1969, while at college in Quetta, he was spotted by Ata Shad from Radio Pakistan who told him that he had a good voice. He went for an audition, which he passed and started to work on radio while continuing to study at college. In 1973, he moved to Lahore and decided to chance his luck at PTV, and after taking part in many auditions, he began to receive work on television.
Personal life
He was married to Humaira Aali but the couple are now separated. The couple had three daughters together: Iman Ali, Maryam Ali and Raimah Ali. Iman Ali, who is an actress and model, has revealed that she has a distant relationship with her father. He married Rabia Noureen in 2006.
