She noted that media was not her original career path. While she initially managed finances, she eventually transitioned into creative roles within the industry.

Career

Duraid began her journey in television by producing Samira Fazal's Mere Paas Paas, which earned her critical acclaim. In 2010, she produced the partition-based drama series Dastaan. This production was based on the novel Bano by Razia Butt and featured Sanam Baloch alongside Fawad Khan. The series received an extravagant reception from critics and won the Hum Honorary Most Challenging Subject Award at the 1st Hum Awards.

She later founded her own company, Momina Duraid Productions, and became a senior producer for Hum TV. In 2011, she convinced Farhat Ishtiaq to dramatize the novel Humsafar into a television series. This project had been previously rejected by two different production houses. Following its release, Humsafar gained instant popularity and achieved a cult following in India, Europe, and North America. Hum TV honored the crew of the series with a special Hum Honorary Phenomenal Serial Award.

Duraid expanded her work into cinema during 2015. She co-directed the film Bin Roye under her production house, Hum Films. This film became the third highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time and earned rave reviews. Since that release, Hum Films has produced and distributed over 15 films both internationally and domestically.

Her extensive television filmography includes several notable titles such as Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2012–13), Diyar-e-Dil (2015), and Suno Chanda (2018). In 2016, seven of her produced series were scheduled for release on the Netflix streaming service. These included Dastaan, Humsafar, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, and Sadqay Tumhare. She continues to manage various upcoming projects including Superstar (2019) and the web series Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo (2026).
