She also attended the College of Art & Design at University of the Punjab to further her education as a qualified visual artist. Her creative work focused on women's empowerment and the role of women in building societies. These artworks often drew inspiration from Urdu literature and poetry.
She resided in a rented flat within the Defence Housing Authority, Karachi, from 2018 until her death.
Career
Asghar began her artistic journey with the Rafi Peer Theatre during her college years. This experience eventually led her into the fashion industry where she modeled for several prominent brands. She secured third position in the Veet Miss Super Model title in 2014. This achievement helped her transition from modeling into television and film roles.
She appeared in various Pakistani television dramas such as Benaam, Just Married, Chal Dil Mere, Sirat-e-Mustaqeem (Laali), Guru, and Ehsaan Faramosh. She also acted in the serial Love Vaccine. Asghar gained wider recognition through the ARY Digital reality show Tamasha, which utilized a format similar to the international Big Brother franchise. Her film credits include a modeling role in the 2015 action-thriller Jalaibee. She later played a lead role in the 2016 film Aik Tha Badshah alongside Ali Hamza and Ali Noor.
In 2022, international media outlets including AFP mistakenly reported that a viral TikTok video featured her. The clip showed a woman walking in front of a burning hillside while wearing a silver gown. However, the video was actually posted by a TikTok user named Dollyofficiall. Her final known professional activity was a magazine fashion shoot in late September 2024.
Personal life
Asghar was found dead in her apartment in DHA Phase VI, Karachi, on 8 July 2025. This discovery occurred during a court-ordered eviction process because of several months of unpaid rent. A bailiff and police officers entered the locked flat after noticing a foul odour. They discovered her body in a decomposed state.
According to police reports, all doors and windows were locked from the inside. While some officials reported that the balcony door was left open, there were no signs of forced entry or struggle. A post-mortem at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre confirmed the remains were partially mummified and skeletal. Investigators used forensic evidence and digital records to estimate her time of death. Call records showed her phone was last used on 7 October 2024 at approximately 5 PM. This led experts to conclude she likely died on that date, which was three days before her 41st birthday.
She was buried on 11 July 2025 at the Q Block graveyard in Model Town, Lahore. Her funeral was attended by a small number of people.
