Hiba Qadir

Hiba Qadir, who is also known as Hiba Bukhari, is a Pakistani actress. She has earned the nickname "Rating Queen" due to her successful television series.

Early life and education

Hiba was born on 29 June 1994 in Karachi to a Sindhi family. She completed her F.Sc studies at Jinnah Government College located in Nazimabad.

Career

Bukhari made her acting debut in 2015 when she took a recurring role in Teri Meri Jodi, which was directed by Syed Mohammad Ahmed. She appeared as a cunning neighbor in the 2016 production Choti Si Zindagi alongside Iqra Aziz and Shehzad Sheikh. In 2017, she secured her first lead role as Bano in Geo TV's Bholi Bano. That same year, she played a working woman in the Hum TV soap opera Thori Si Wafa.

She won the Hum Award for Best Soap Actress for her performance in Thori Si Wafa. Her 2018 role as a mischievous college student in Silsilay earned positive reviews from audiences. She also appeared in the family emotional series Haara Dil opposite Danish Taimoor.

In 2019, she played the girl next door in Ramz-e-Ishq before achieving a breakthrough as a bus hostess in Deewangi. This blockbuster romantic series earned her a nomination for Best Television Actress at the Lux Style Awards. She appeared in the 2020 series Tarap, where she portrayed a damsel in distress.

Bukhari acted in Fitoor in 2021, a project featuring Faysal Quraishi and Wahaj Ali. She also starred in Inteha e Ishq and Berukhi, which marked her third collaboration with Junaid Khan. During that year, she played a Pashtun medical student in Meray Humnasheen and a mother seeking divorce in Pehchaan. She appeared in Ishq Nahin Aasan on Aan TV alongside her real-life partner, Arez Ahmed.

In 2023, she played the daughter of an influential father in the ARY Digital drama Tere Ishq Ke Naam. She then portrayed a school teacher in Jhok Sarkar, which was written by Hashim Nadeem. Her work continued in 2024 with appearances in Jaan Nisar on Geo Entertainment and Radd on ARY Digital. In 2025, she played a college student in Main Zameen Tu Aasman opposite Feroze Khan. She is set to appear in Humrahi, which marks her fourth collaboration with Danish Taimoor.

Personal life

Hiba married Arez Ahmed, an actor from Bholi Bano and Inteha e Ishq, during a private Nikah ceremony on 7 January 2022. The couple announced they were expecting a child via social media on 30 September 2024. They later announced the birth of their daughter, Aynur, on 28 December 2024.

Awards and recognition

She is a recipient of the Hum Awards. Bukhari was the first Pakistani actress to have two dramas, Fitoor and Jaan Nisar, surpass 1 billion views on YouTube. Deewangi also reached this milestone.

In 2020, she was included in a list of the "Top 10 Most Promising New Pakistani Actors." She appeared on the "Most Popular Pakistani Actors" list in 2021 and was recognized for "Impressive Performances By Pakistani Actresses" for her work in Fitoor. In 2022, she was named among the "Best Pakistani Actresses" for her roles in Meray Humnasheen and Pehchaan. Bukhari reached 37th place in Eastern Eye's Top 50 Asian Stars of 2024. She was also featured in a "Top 10 Pakistani Actresses" list in 2024 for her performances in Jaan Nisar and Radd.
