Early life and education
Sajal Ali was born on 17 January 1994 in Birmingham. Some reports state she was born in Lahore, Pakistan. She attended the Beaconhouse School System during her formative years. Her sister, Saboor Ali, is also an actress within the Pakistani entertainment industry.
Career
Ali began her professional journey with a recurring role in the Geo Entertainment sitcom Nadaaniyaan in 2011. She transitioned into leading roles through several soap operas including Mehmoodabad Ki Malkain and Ahmed Habib Ki Betiyan. Her performance in the melodrama Meray Qatil Meray Dildar earned her a nomination for a Hum Award for Best Supporting Actress.
In 2012, she played the titular role in the production Chandni. She also appeared in Mohabbat Jaye Bhar Mein and Meri Ladli. Her career reached a critical breakthrough in 2013 with the thriller Nanhi. This role earned her a Lux Style Award nomination for Best TV Actress.
