Hania Aamir is a Pakistani actress who works in Urdu television and films. She is currently the most-followed Pakistani woman on Instagram.
Early life and education
Aamir was born on 12 February 1997 in Rawalpindi within the Punjab province. She comes from a Punjabi speaking family that has roots in Murree. Her parents separated early in her life, which resulted in her being raised by a single mother. Aamir has spoken publicly about facing financial difficulties and emotional trauma during her childhood.
She enrolled at the Foundation for Advancement of Science and Technology (FAST-NUCES) to pursue her studies. While she was a student there, she auditioned for her debut film, Janaan (2016). She later dropped out of college because she needed to earn money to support her family financially. She described herself as having been a "rebellious" student during her time in university.
Career
Aamir began her acting career with the 2016 romantic comedy Janaan. She subsequently starred as an unfaithful wife in the 2017 romantic drama Titli. Her performance in the Hum TV production Phir Wohi Mohabbat (2017) earned her the Hum Award for Best Television Sensation Female. That same year, she played a bride-to-be in the heist comedy Na Maloom Afraad 2.
In 2018, she featured in the combat film Parwaaz Hai Junoon alongside Hamza Ali Abbasi and Ahad Raza Mir. She also appeared in the melodrama Visaal (2018) as a girl next door. Her role as a free-spirited heiress in Anaa (2019) brought her positive reviews. She sang the title track of that series with Sahir Ali Bagga, which garnered 8 million views on YouTube.
Aamir played the character Rumaisa Siddique in Ishqiya (2020). This role earned her a nomination for Best Actress TV at the 2nd Pakistan International Screen Awards. She also starred as Sanam Jameel in Dil Ruba (2020) and appeared as Gul Meena in Sang-e-Mah (2022). In 2023, she portrayed Maheer Saad Hussain in the romantic drama Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha, though her performance received mixed to negative reviews.
She starred in Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum (2024) opposite Fahad Mustafa. For her portrayal of Sharjeena, she received positive reviews and her first Lux Style Award. In 2025, Aamir made her debut in the Indian Punjabi-language film industry with Sardaar Ji 3. She appeared in this film alongside Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa.
Beyond acting, she works as a model and serves as an ambassador for several brands. She represents companies such as Maybelline New York and Sprite. In 2022, she was named the brand ambassador for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League. She also walked the ramp for Zainab Chottani at Pakistan Fashion Week in 2019.
Personal life
Aamir is recognized as one of the highest-paid actresses in Pakistan. Following the 2025 Pahalgam attack and the India–Pakistan standoff, her Instagram profile was restricted for users in India. During this period, a fabricated statement claimed she had appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Aamir denied this claim and used her Instagram Stories to clarify that she had not issued such a statement.
Awards and recognition
The actress has received three Hum Awards throughout her career. She also won a Lux Style Award for her work in Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum. In 2024, Eastern Eye placed her 9th in their Top 50 Asian Stars list. She was also featured in Hello Pakistan's HOT100 list under the "Headliners" category.
