Mansha Pasha is a Pakistani actress and television presenter. She is recognized for her various supporting roles in several successful television series and films.
Early life and education
Pasha was born on 19 October 1987. She belongs to a Sindhi family from Hyderabad. She currently resides in Karachi with her family members.
She has three sisters named Zeenat Pasha, Hannah Pasha and Maria Pasha.
Career
Pasha made her first acting appearance in 2011. She played a minor role as Ayesha in two episodes of the Hum TV romantic series Humsafar. This role featured her as a friend to the character Khirad. She followed this with minor roles in Shehr-e-Zaat and Madiha Maliha.
Her performance as Sidra in the 2012 series Zindagi Gulzar Hai served as a breakthrough. The series became both a commercial and critical hit. Pasha continued to appear in several acclaimed television series during 2013, including Virasat, Ek Aur Ek Dhai, Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain and Shareek-e-Hayat.
In 2014, she transitioned into leading roles. She played Zara in Zara aur Mehrunnisa and Fiza in Shehr-e-Ajnabi. Her work that year also included the characters Sehrish in Hum Tehray Gunahgaar, Rumana in Lafangey Parindey and Aqsa in Mere Apne.
The actress worked with Sadia Jabbar for the first time in 2015. This romantic series featured Imran Abbas and Maya Ali. She also appeared as Sanam in Bewafai Tumhare Naam, Nusrat in Daraar and Samra in Tumhare Siwa.
Three television series were released featuring Pasha in 2016. She paired with Babar Ali in Wafa and collaborated with Junaid Khan and Imran Ashraf in Dil-e-Beqarar and Jhoot. In 2017, she starred in the family drama Aangan and the romance Jalti Rait Per. She also appeared in the revenge drama Khudgarz and the romance Tau Dil Ka Kia Hua.
Pasha directed a six-part series with Elaj Trust in 2017. This project addressed the topic of postpartum depression. She made her film debut in 2017 with the romantic comedy Chalay Thay Saath. In 2019, she played an antagonist for the first time in the plays Juda Na Hona and Surkh Chandni.
Her performance in the crime thriller Laal Kabootar earned critical success in 2019. She starred in Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida alongside Zahid Ahmed and Sonya Hussyn in 2020. She later appeared as the titular antagonist in Koyal, which was directed by Yasir Hussain.
Personal life
Pasha was married to businessman Asad Farooqi from 2013 to 2018. In 2021, she married Jibran Nasir, who is a politician and human rights activist.
Awards and recognition
The actress is a recipient of the Hum Award. She won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Mohabat Subh Ka Sitara Hai. Her work in Laal Kabootar earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the Pakistan International Screen Awards.
