Faizan Khawaja

Faizan Khawaja is a Pakistani American actor and producer. Born in the United States, he has built a professional presence within the South Asian entertainment industry through television and film.

Early life and education

Faizan Khawaja was born on 7 January 1986 in Houston, Texas. He spent his early years growing up in the United States. His father is Rashid Khawaja, a veteran producer of film and television. Rashid Khawaja co-produced Salakhain and appeared in movies such as Bol and Actor in Law.

Khawaja moved to India to pursue formal training in his craft. He attended Whistling Woods International Institute to study acting and filmmaking. During this period, he received training from Naseeruddin Shah. His educational background also includes time at Froebel's International School, Scarcedale High School, and Beaconhouse International University.

Career

The actor began his professional journey in the television industry. Following the 2008 Mumbai attacks, he moved to Karachi, Pakistan. He started with minor roles in dramas and Bollywood films. His television credits include serials such as Mann Ke Moti and Love, Life Aur Lahore.

Khawaja has appeared in a diverse range of productions. His filmography includes the comedy-thriller Chupan Chupai, which was released in 2016. He also signed the Bollywood film Bankster, directed by Azaan Khan. These roles helped establish his presence as both a television actor and a producer.

His work spans various formats including plays and telefilms. He has performed in several drama serials such as Khuda Zameen se gaya Nahin, Susral ke rang Anokhey, and Meri saheli meri Hamjoli.
