Syed Jibran

Syed Jibran is a Pakistani actor and entrepreneur. He was born on 14 October 1979 in Jhelum. The actor has built a diverse career spanning television, film, and the food industry.

Early life and education

Jibran was born into a Punjabi-Pashtun family composed of medical professionals. His father is Colonel (r) Dr. Syed Muqadar Shah, who served as an influential cancer specialist in Rawalpindi. The actor received his early education in Jhelum. He later attended Rawalpindi Medical University to study medicine. While he was a third-year student, his interest in acting began to develop. He successfully completed his MBBS degree—yet he chose not to practice as a doctor.

He stands 6 feet tall. This height made him well suited for modeling work.

Career

Jibran started his professional journey with the Pakistan Television Network in 2001. His entry into the industry reportedly began due to a bet with a friend involving 100 rupees. He first appeared in Taufeeq Hussain Shah's drama Hook on PTV. Although he only had two scenes in that production, the experience launched his path. Director Tariq Meraj spotted him during this period. He later gained recognition in the sitcom Jutt and Bond between 2001 and 2004. This series featured Fawad Khan and Ahmed Ali Butt.

His television work includes the drama serial Aik Kahani on PTV. He also performed in several commercials and modeling projects. After his initial success, he worked across various networks. He gained significant fame for his role as Ahsan in the Hum TV drama Mery Khwab Reza Reza. His performance in the Geo TV serial Mery Chara Gar also received appreciation. In 2022, he made his film debut in the movie Ghabrana Nahi Hai.

Beyond acting, Jibran is an entrepreneur in the food sector. He operates several well-known restaurants located in Islamabad. He also introduced the Gelato Affair franchise to the city.

Personal life

Jibran married Afifa Jibran in 2011. The couple has three children, consisting of one daughter and two sons. In an interview with a private television channel, he stated that his friends and family members are both his strengths and his weaknesses.
