Sara Hussain, who is professionally known as Sara Loren, is a Pakistani actress and model. She performs in both Urdu and Hindi movies as well as television productions.
Early life and education
Loren was born on 11 December 1985 in Kuwait City. She belongs to a Rajput family, which traces its roots back to Rajasthan. Her grandfather migrated to Kuwait from Rajasthan after the Partition of India occurred. Although her grandfather lived in Kuwait, both her father and mother were born in Pakistan.
She relocated to Lahore with her family during her teenage years. This move happened following the death of her father. During an interview conducted in India, she described her heritage as a multi-cultural background because her father is a Rajput from Rajasthan. She also mentioned that she goes to the temple.
Career
Loren began her acting career in 2003 with the television serial Rabia Zinda Rahegi. She later transitioned into film and stage performances. She acted in stage productions such as Anarkali and Shahyad Issi Ka Naam Mohabbat Hai Sheiftaa in both Karachi and Delhi. Her Bollywood debut occurred in 2010 when she appeared in Pooja Bhatt's romantic thriller Kajraare opposite Himesh Reshammiya.
She appeared in a cameo for the song "Love Mein Ghum" in Reema Khan's Love Mein Ghum in 2011. In 2013, she played the role of a seductress named Nisha in the film Murder 3. The following year, she made her Lollywood debut in the film Anjuman directed by Yasir Nawaz. She also performed an item number titled "Saiyaan" in Syed Faisal Bukhari's Saltanat in 2014.
Loren played the title role in the 2015 film Barkhaa. In this production, she portrayed a small town girl who becomes a bar dancer. While the film ran for 50 days, it was commercially declared a disaster. She is scheduled to make a comeback in the action film Bulleh in 2026.
Her television work includes appearances in several productions. These include Mahnoor, Meharun Nisa, Makan, and Mehar Bano aur Shah Bano. She has also appeared in Sandal, Riyasat, Help of a Ghost, Dupatta, Umrao jan-e-adaa, and Madhosh.
Awards and recognition
Loren won the Best Actress in a Leading Role award at the Tarang Housefull Awards for her work in Anjuman. She also received a nomination for Best Drama Actress at the 2nd Pakistan Media Awards. This nomination was specifically for her performance in Main Mar Gai Shaukat Ali.
