Reham Khan

Reham Nayyar Khan is a British-Pakistani journalist, author, and filmmaker. She was born on 3 April 1973 in Ajdabiya. Khan is also known for her work as a writer and her involvement in Pakistani politics.
Early life and education
Khan belongs to the Lughmani Sarkheli clan, which is a sub-clan of the Swati ethnic group. Her father, Nayyar Ramzan, is a Pakistani physician. Although her family hails from Baffa in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, her parents moved to Libya in the late 1960s. She was born in Ajdabiya while her parents lived there.
She has one brother and one sister. Khan is also the niece of Abdul Hakeem Khan, who served as a former governor of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and a former chief justice of Peshawar High Court. She is fluent in four languages: English, Urdu, Pashto and her ancestral Hindko.
Khan completed her higher education in Pakistan. She holds a bachelor's degree in Education from Jinnah College for Women in Peshawar.
Career
Media work
Her media career began in 2006 when she started hosting shows on Legal TV. In 2007, she moved to presenting for Sunshine Radio Hereford and Worcester. Khan joined the BBC in 2008 to work as a weather presenter.
She relocated to Pakistan in 2013 to join the news channel News One. After this period, she joined Aaj TV. Following a brief stint at PTV in 2014, she moved to Dawn News to present the current affairs programme titled In Focus. She resumed work with Dawn in May 2015 when her new show, The Reham Khan Show, debuted. This programme focused on celebrating Pakistani heroes.
In December 2015, she launched a talk show called Tabdeeli on Neo TV. She left Neo TV in June 2016. Khan also worked in film production. She produced the romantic comedy Janaan, which premiered on 13 September 2016.
Political career
Khan entered the political arena by launching the Pakistan Republic Party on 15 July 2025. She announced this launch at the Karachi Press Club. Her stated goal is to end dynastic politics and represent marginalized groups. She described this party launch as a national mission and vowed to pursue legal reforms.
Personal life
Khan has been married three times. Her first marriage was to her first cousin, Ejaz Rehman, who is a British psychiatrist. This marriage took place when she was 19 years old. She has three children who have lived with her since her divorce from Rehman.
Her second marriage was to Imran Khan. He confirmed that the couple married in a secret ceremony on 6 January 2015. They divorced on 30 October 2015. The publication of her 2018 memoir led to claims that she intended to damage his electoral prospects before the Pakistani general election.
She married Mirza Bilal on 23 December 2022. In January 2022, Khan reported a dangerous incident on Twitter. She stated that she narrowly escaped a gun attack in Islamabad after returning from her nephew's wedding. According to her account, two men on a motorcycle held her vehicle at gunpoint and shot at her car.
