Muhammad Nabeel Zafar, known professionally as Nabeel, is a Pakistani television actor, director, producer and screenwriter. He maintains a significant presence on the Pakistani mini screen through various comedic and dramatic roles. Since his debut, he has transitioned from a hobbyist performer to one of the leading actors in the country.

Early life and education

Nabeel was born on 1 September 1968 in Layallpur, which is now known as Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan. He grew up in this region before eventually moving to Karachi. His early years in Faisalabad shaped his background as a Pakistani national.

Career

The actor began his professional journey in the television industry in 1990. He initially appeared in PTV plays such as Din, which telecast in 1992. This early work helped establish his presence on the national broadcaster.

Nabeel achieved notable success with several PTV productions during the 1990s. He played a doctor in the popular 1994 drama Dhuwan on PTV Home. His filmography includes lead roles in various serials like Ajaib Khana, Shahla Kot, Alao and Qissa Saat Raaton Ka. These performances solidified his reputation as a versatile talent.

His career expanded into different genres and production roles over the following decades. He appeared in the drama Daldal and worked on projects for Express Entertainment. These included the sitcom Honeymoon and the comedy series Shaadi Ka Luddo. Nabeel also directs many productions within the industry.

In 2009, he took on a major role as both producer and lead actor for the ARY Digital sitcom Bulbulay. He continues to play the character of Nabeel in this long-running series. Beyond acting, he has held high-level corporate positions in the media sector. Nabeel joined BOL Entertainment to serve as President and CEO.

Personal life

Nabeel resides in Karachi, Pakistan. He married Salma Nabeel on 1 January 2000. The couple has four children together.
