Early life and education

Azad was born on 7 August 1969 in the house of Saeed Ahmad. His birthplace is Khushab, which is a city located in the Punjab province of Pakistan. He pursued higher education in Lahore to further his academic interests. He eventually earned a Masters in Philosophy from the University of the Punjab.

Career

Azad maintains a diverse professional presence within both academia and the Pakistani film industry. He teaches logic and philosophy at the International Islamic University, Islamabad. While he focuses on academic instruction, he also holds a technical leadership role in Lahore. He serves as the Head of the Department of VFX & CGI at the Paragon Academy of Performing Arts, Shabab Noor Studio.

His involvement in cinema extends to direct production assistance. He assists the director Syed Noor during the filmmaking process. This dual career allows him to bridge the gap between theoretical philosophy and visual media.

As an author, he has published various works spanning multiple genres including fiction, journalism, criticism, poetry, mysticism and art. His philosophical writings explore complex themes such as socio-biological evolution. He expands upon ideas originally proposed by the Pakistani philosopher Sir Muhammad Iqbal. Azad suggests that every living organism on Earth is tightly attached to the planet. He proposes a concept he calls freedom from Earth-Rootedness, which requires an anti-gravitational force to overcome terrestrial attachment. He asserts that being nearer to the Earth degrades the value of life.

His philosophical bibliography includes several specific titles. These works are Aurat, Iblees aur Khuda (Women, Devil and God), Maoseeqi, Tasweer aur Sharaab (Music, Picture and Vine) and Islam Maghrib kay Katehray Main (Islam in the court of West). He also wrote Tassawuf, Science aur Iqbal (Mysticism, Science and Iqbal) and Companion To Philosophy And Logic.

Azad is a prolific novelist who writes historical and thematic fiction. His novel titles include Sultan Muhammad Fateh, Ibn e Attaash and Sultan Shamsuddin Altamash. Other novels in his collection are Behr e Aswad kay Us Paar, Undlus kay Qazzaaq and Qartaajna.

He has also authored books on social and contemporary issues. These include Nai Saleebi Jang aur Usaama, Baazgusht, Manashiyaat aur Tadaaruk, Nijaat kay Raastay Par and Ibn e Maryam Hua karay Koi. His socio-biological theories categorize animals into four distinct classes: swarms, gangs, droves and flocks.
